Toilet
Lesson #42: Toilet
This is BLT Eigo, brought to you by BLTnetwork.com. I’m your host and English Coach, David Hylton.
Whoops , I think I drank too much coffee because I really have to go to the… uh…. you know… to the …..
(flush)
Usually one doesn’t talk about the toilet. But sometimes when you really have to go, you should remember how to do it.
Instead of saying “toilet,” Americans usually say restroom or bathroom.
We say bathroom because the bath is often located in the same room.
When you want to ask permission to use the restroom, just say, “May I use the restroom?” It is also OK to use “Can” instead of “May.”
OK, repeat after me:
May I use the restroom?
Good job!
OK, I’ve really got to go now….. Thanks for joining BLT Eigo right here on BLTnetwork.com. See you next time. Bye!
